Adrienne Ames, born Ruth Adrienne McClure (August 3, 1907-May 31 47) was an American actor. Adrienne"Truax" was the stage name she used early in her career. She got married three times. When she was still a teenager, she married Derward Dumont Truax. He was the son of an oil-related businessman. Their daughter was born in 1924. They divorced. Another marriage with the broker Stephen Ames ended in divorce on the 30th of October 1933.Her previous marriage, on October 31 of 1933, was with the actor Bruce Cabot; they divorced on July 24, 1935. Ames died of cancer in May of 1947 at New York City, aged 39. Her funeral was held within the Oakwood Cemetery near her home in Fort Worth.
